Mostly Sober / Kukunga Issier : Losing at Eve Online yet again
« Last post by Kukunga on August 14, 2020, 12:36:52 am »
- Please list your main character and their zkillboard links & the eveskillboard links
* Main Character: Kukunga Issier - https://zkillboard.com/character/95642754/ | https://eveskillboard.com/pilot/Kukunga_Issier
- Please list ALL of your alts, each alt's roles in game, and links to their killboard along with a eveskillboard for each alt. If you have alts that you do not want to reveal publicly, talk to your recruiter.
* Alt of a primary nature: gunnaz - https://zkillboard.com/character/1606457443/
 * Alt of an auxiliary nature: Mister Winning - https://zkillboard.com/character/96709694/
 * Alt of a tertiary nature: Mizter Winner - https://zkillboard.com/character/96709848/

- Why are you wanting to leave your current corp?
* I'm in an NPC corp after having not played in several months.
- Who is your Vouch (If you have a vouch)?
* MrChuckNorris comma space The One and Only
- What about our advertisement made you decide to go through our app process?
* Invalid. I'm here cuz good people are here, not because of an advert.
- What timezone are you in?
* Central US
- How many days/hours a week do you spend in EVE?
* TBD. I've played on the scale of no-lifer to barely-call-myself-an-eve-player. I'm not yet sure how often I'll play, but I'm aiming to participate in a few fleets a week.
- Do you have any experience hunting? If so provide links to some proud frags.
* Not worth claiming here. I've hunted a little in wormholes, but not with the intent to drag along a fleet with me
- How long have you been playing for?
* Off and on for 3-4 years
- How do you make ISK?
* Historically this was mining / ratting / ded escalations & the occasional battle-field-loot option
- Describe briefly your favorite fight you have been in.
* I've been in few fights in my life. The first one that comes to mind was 4th grade, and I was a new kid at the school. Some other kid was encouraged to pick on me to the point where he swung, I deflected and swung (straight, wind-up punch to the chest) back and then the teachers then broke it up. Good memory. His name was Ken, and was actually a nice kid that I recall.
- Have you ever been kicked out of a corp or alliance? Why?
* If I have, it's been due to inactivity and activity-based membership. I repel toxicity.
- You get a ping that says "fleet up on FC <Name> comms 1". How do you find out what ship to fly?
* In my experience it depends on the ping. IIRC the most consistent way to know is by looking at the fleet MOTD.
- You get a ping and you're late, fleet has already left, how do you find out where the fleet is?
* First I'd ask if catching up is an option, and what I might be able to catch up in. Then I'd verify the destination with the FC, and go from there.
- You are on a cap fleet, taking gates, explain how not to bump when you land on the out gate.
* repeat, turbo engage the 'jump gate' button (I think that's the name of the button )
- Who would you turn gay for?
* My answers won't satisfy the likely aim of this question :) I am not a comedic prude, but there's effectively zero chance I turn gay for anyone, unless it's to protect my family (wtf am I actually, legitimately thinking....that's a really dumb story/plot and I'm saddened to have spent constructive energy thinking how I should answer this. Thanks to whomever did this question you fag.).
- What is your favorite ship in Eve?
* friendship

- Please list your main character and their zkillboard links.

Zah Damaja
https://zkillboard.com/character/1533572082/

- Please list your alts and what role they have.    Names not needed right now.

Dread is on my main (have a nag)
Sabre Alt
Market alts (1 training into JF)
Intel/scout alt (used to be cyno ceptor)

- Why are you wanting to leave your current corp?

After Elo recently announced he was closing up origin I joined reveka to try out the new corp some of the other directors formed. I like the guys in reveka a lot and I respect the grind of starting over from scratch, but I am looking for something more stable and organized at this point.

- What made you seek us out?

While staging out of Sakht, Reveka. has done a couple combined ops with NSH and you seem like an active, fun group to fly with. I looked at the different corps to see who was recruiting and decided I would try Iron Guard. I also believe wallys posts are the only posts worth reading on r/eve.

- Who is your Vouch (If you have a vouch)?

No vouch

- What timezone are you in?

USTZ

- How much time generally do you have available to play ?

2-3 hours weeknights, weekends Im usually available most days and nights.

- How long have you been playing for?

Since 2009, early on was very on and off. 2011+ is when I actually started to understand the game and play for longer consistent periods of time.

- How do you make ISK - are  you self-sufficient?

I have ISK from over the years. Ill blitz abyssals with worms or run t4 cruisers if I am looking to make some quick cash. Otherwise Ill plex.

- Describe briefly your favorite fight you have been in.

In 2018 when I was in origin. We had been fighting horde every night in and around their staging. We were dunking their stabber and ferox fleets with ONIs and muninns pretty regularly. After a week of that some horde decided they would start dropping supers on us as we came near O-V which sucked for obvious reasons. We didnt have large dread fleet or supers to counter at this point (this was early 2018 black legion v7) so we set a trap with snuff. We went a few jumps out of their staging and were getting some kills when the same super dropped again. This time we dropped a handful of BL dreads on their super which made them escalate. We bubbled up and pointed the supers, cyno'd in snuff dreadbomb and killed a bunch of their supers. After that they stopped dropping supers on our nightly roams.

- What is your most embarrassing loss?   What happened?

https://zkillboard.com/kill/68623204/

A small group of us were killing some stuff in geminate in cloaked nullified lokis. We decided to engage a small group of frigs that were in some npsi streamer fleet. We got swarmed and got out but all went for the gate. The first 2 got caught but I was in the best position to get out, still got snatched and died stupidly.

- Have you ever been kicked out of a corp or alliance? Why?

I have not, Ive always been accepted back to corps I have left and wanted to return.

- You get a ping that says "fleet up on FC <Name> comms 1". How do you find out what ship to fly?

MOTD

- You get a ping and you're late, fleet has already left, how do you find out where the fleet is?

Map -> my fleet members.. or just ask if FC isnt giving orders

- You are on a cap fleet, taking gates, explain how not to bump when you land on the out gate.

Spam jump or hope a fat fax landed next to me to bounce me back? :)

- What is your favorite ship in Eve?

Muninn because I learned to love them in BL. Hounds because I used to love bombing fleets. Or lokis because theyre my favorite T3C.

Do you prefer large fleets, small gangs, or solo pvp?
Are you going to train a dread alt?
Hypothetical: you're on a late night fleet and find out you live in the same town as someone in alliance? How do you respond? They then offer to come over and rub your feet, and they'll pay you in plex, how do you respond?

I would say my preference is in small-scale stuff. I'm not a fan of TiDi tbh.

I have both a Dread alt and Fax alt in training.

Cool hypothetical question - I live in the same town as two of my old Albion guildmates and as soon as I learned this i demanded we get together for drinks (or a smoke-sesh :P ). If one of them wanted to rub my feet AND pay me in PLEX i would whore myself out faster than Init is losing systems in Fountain.

NSH is a group more oriented towards more experienced players. We also use a lot of T2 doctrines that take months to train into normally and whatnot. That being said, your app looks well made and you seem to be a pretty dedicated player. We have a new player corp called Ryba that might be a better fit for you until you're ready to move up the ranks.

Skillpoints aren't the issue, those I can buy. Practical experience on the other hand? Best place to get it is with a group of folks like you. I can F1 with the best of them, it's the OTHER stuff I will be focusing on absorbing. Things like understanding engagement profiles, what [given comp] can do against [given comp], proper kiting techniques in nano fleets and most importantly general positioning. My manual piloting skills are meh.
